One of my favorite things to do in the Kansas City area is to attend and/or volunteer for Spinning Tree Theatre's productions. I've been a season ticket holder for about six years now and became part of the Guild a couple of years later. The "owners," Andrew Grayman Parkhurst and Michael Grayman Parkhurst are outstandingly talented and two of my favorite people on the planet. When I learned they were going to be part of an "At Ease with Opera" program (KC Lyric Opera) on a panel talking about West Side Story I made it a point to go. The program was great and interesting on so many levels. It was held at the Kauffman Foundation Center, so being early, it also afforded me an opportunity to make my first (I will return) visit to the Ewing and Marion Kauffman Memorial Gardens across the street. It was a wonderful evening all around. A dozen of my shots from the gardens are in il momento (the moment) where I will be posting slideshows of my in the moment photo adventures.
Amazingly, I think I started working on this website close to two years ago. Wasn't sure then what it would be about, not sure now, just know photography is one of my passions. Of course as often as I have updated this, you wouldn't actually know that but hopefully it will be different going forward.
As long as the weather isn't pouring rain, 5 days a week I get my sitting self up and out for a walk. The areas I walk in always provide things that catch the attention of my eye and my phone camera shutter. Today I thought, "Gwyn, you need to add a blog to puro and post your non-stop photos there instead of Facebook." What an idea! So I am. I'll back track a little with my first blogs but it will become obvious, this woman is snapping shots continuously ... and a small amount are selfies.
Here's a couple from recent walks.
